Margarita Pie Recipe

*This recipe was taken from allrecipes.com

UPDATE: I made this for my cousins, husband and I. IT WAS DELICIOUS! But then what isn't with a whole container of whipped cream? :)

I also have not yet tried this recipe but I really want to! It sounds like it would be a fun one to know how to make for when Steve and I start going to adult parties, lol. But seriously, just because we are LDS does not mean that all we can eat for desert is jello.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 limes, zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press mixture into a pie pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together lime juice, lime zest, orange juice, and sweetened condensed milk. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon filling into pretzel crust. Chill pie for 25 to 30 minutes.
*when making this, maybe try using a bit less whipped topping so the pie will set up. Just a tip from some people who have made this before.
